Being grateful has become one of my main meditation techniques.
Every morning, after wakeup, I remind myself what I am grateful for: That there are birds and trees outside, sun, rain, weather, that the garbage men are taking the garbage, the baker making the bread, that I am alive, breathing, having a roof over my head, food, loving friends, a loving heart, a healthy strong body, work that I am passionate about, and so much more.
With every single element that comes into my mind, my heart opens a little more, my mood lights up more, and feeling so blessed I want to give more.
