Yesterday I stood again at the corner of this boulevard which means so much to me.
Everytime I walk down this beautiful avenue I recall my dear friend, mentor and teacher Dan Bar On, Israeli professor of psychology, who lived here.
The fact that I am here in Israel now is thanks to him. When I met him in 2001 in a conference for constellations in Germany, together with his Palestinian friend and collegue Sami Adwan, my heart and soul knew that I am coming home.
I had no idea where it would lead me, but deep inside I knew that something was about to open up.
Dan was a master in listening to the “Other”.
No matter how difficult or painful it would be, he would be willing to listen.
I have made it my life goal to learn to listen to the “Otherness of the Other” and in myself.
That is why I am here, that is what I am trying to teach.
Thank you Dan.
I will always have you in my heart.
